Home Workout Routine
1. Bodyweight Squats
Squats are a fantastic way to strengthen your lower body. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, lower your body as if sitting back into a chair, keeping your weight on your heels. Aim for 3 sets of 15 repetitions.
2. Push-Ups
Push-ups work your chest, shoulders, and triceps. Begin in a plank position, lower your body to the ground, and push back up. Modify by doing them on your knees if needed. Complete 3 sets of 10-12 repetitions.
3. Plank
The plank strengthens your core. Lie face down, then lift your body onto your toes and forearms. Keep your body in a straight line from head to heels. Hold for 30 seconds to 1 minute for 3 sets.
4. Lunges
Lunges target your legs and glutes. Step forward with one leg, lowering your hips until both knees are bent at about a 90-degree angle. Alternate legs for 3 sets of 10 repetitions on each side.
5. Burpees
Burpees provide a great cardiovascular workout. From a standing position, drop into a squat, kick your feet back into a push-up position, return to squat, and jump up. Aim for 3 sets of 8-10 repetitions.
